A.   Campus Crime Stoppers is a student engagement program to address juvenile related crimes, particularly criminal activity occurring in and around school campuses.  It is a joint effort among Crime Stoppers Atlanta, Atlanta Public Schools, and the Atlanta Police Department to engage students to take active roles in keeping their schools and communities safe and free from the threat of violence, illegal drugs, weapons and other dangerous activities.

2.    What is Crime Stoppers Atlanta?

A.   Launched in January 2007, Crime Stoppers Atlanta (CSA) rallies and empowers citizens to take a stand against crime in their communities by providing an avenue for them to anonymously report information about criminal activity, or criminals’ whereabouts, and incentivizes them with monetary rewards if the information leads to an arrest and indictment. The information provided through CSA helps law enforcement in their investigations and can play a major role in the apprehension of criminals and in securing convictions. Since inception, CSA has helped solve more than 208 major crimes taking more than 158 dangerous criminals off the streets, preventing countless future crimes from being committed.

3.    How does the Campus Crime Stoppers program work?

4.    How do I report a tip?

A.    It’s easy! Any time you have information on a crime, or know someone who has a weapon or illegal drugs at school you can submit the information one of three ways:

More importantly, by submitting the tip you will help keep yourself, your friends, your school and community safe.

7.    How much are the rewards?

A.   Reward amounts range from $10 up to $2,000. The exact amount will vary on a case-by case basis depending on several factors and is kept confidential. Each case is reviewed by the Crime Stoppers Atlanta Advisory Council to determine the exact reward amount to be paid out.
