In 2010, Crime Stoppers Greater Atlanta joined forces with the United States Marshal’s Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force to find and capture dangerous fugitives in Metro Atlanta.
“The mission of the U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force is to track down and apprehend dangerous fugitives,” said Chief Inspector Keith Booker. “Partnering with Crime Stoppers Atlanta ensures we have more eyes and ears in the communities where fugitives are hiding. Due to the anonymous nature of the program, we will get good, solid tips resulting in more arrests.”
The USMS Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force became fully active in September of 2003 and operates out of offices in Atlanta, Macon, and Savannah, Georgia and works with more than 20 federal, state, or local law enforcement agencies. As they continue to recruit other agencies to participate, the task force is becoming well recognized as the "one-stop shop" for fugitive investigations in the state of Georgia.
